Project Believe Welcomes Pastor Keys

The work of Project Believe continues to gain strength and momentum. This past month we welcomed Pastor Mike Keys to our work. Pastor Keys will be focusing on evangelism and mission here in the Oregon Synod. Part of his work will be to help form and shape our work as the BELIEVE TEAM lifting up new outreach work here in Oregon. WELCOME PASTOR KEYS!

BELIEVE TEAM MEETS

A group of Synod visionaries we call, The Believe Team met for their monthly meeting. The team was introduced to the newest member of our staff, Pastor Michael Keys who has accepted the call to be the Director Of Mission here in Oregon. Bishop David also joined us at the table to introduce Pastor Keys and to share his vistion of how both Pastor Keys and Pastor Chase will be working together here in Oregon. In many Synods this is one position. Both Pastor Chase and Pastor Keys will be sitting with the Belive Team monthly as part of our strategy for mission.

Views From the Mount

Wednesdays are becoming our "Community Day" at Mt. Carmel. As I arrive around 10:00 am and pull into the drive way I can hear the shout of joy coming from the play ground. At first I was so happy to think that the kids were excited that Pastor Glenn was there but soon it became clear that their excitement was Andy the dog, and not me. Andy knows and loves the routine. As I lower the tailgate of the truck he grabs his red rubber ball and goes running down the stairs to greet his adoring fans.
