Hello from the Denver airport!! I'm not sure any of these wonderful people (waiting for our delayed flight to Orlando) are actually going to the churchwide assembly with me. There is sort of a lack of excitement here.

However, on my flight from Portland to Denver I sat next to a nice young woman studying optometry in Forest Grove. Those of you at Calvary Hillsboro might know her - red hair, from North Dakota, ELCA. She's excited to go home for two weeks before coming back for fall term. Good for her!

So this is transit day for me. Tomorrow is bishop stuff and the day most other voting members arrive (save for those doing a few days of vacation!)  We're getting close!!

Feeling connected by the postings and introductions

I am already feeling strongly connected to the 2011 CWA through postings like this and the introductions of the Oregon Synod voting members.  Know that we appreciate what has already been posted and for what is to come.

Our prayers are with you all and for the CWA work about to be done.
