The voices of young leaders
The Lutheran Youth Organization (LYO) is an organization of high-school age young people who are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America . There are nearly 100,000 ELCA youth across the United States and the Caribbean.
The LYO is a place where the voices of young people are lifted up in the church. This ministry happens through young people discussing and advocating issues of importance to them concerning faith, youth ministry, the ELCA, local communities, and the world.

A Summer of Service
The Board of the Lutheran Youth Organization (BLYO) has produced the a resource guide for a "summer of service" for youth across the ELCA. Gathering Locally with Outreach to the Community as Lutherans (also known as the LYO GLOCAL project) offers ideas, tools and scriptural reflection for youth to faithfully answer a call to serve in and with their communities.
